Easter Egg Hunts

The Red Barn Farm Egg Hunt & Pictures with the Easter Bunny

March 23, 24, and 30. 10 am – 3 pm each day at The Red Barn Farm.
Face painting, Easter egg hunts 4 an hour with 2 golden eggs per hunt, coloring contest, Easter craft, hand feed the animals, concessions available including hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes, homemade sourdough donuts, rock wall climb, playground and pond available. $8 admission per person 2 years and older.

Dominion Energy Family Easter at Maymont

Saturday, March 30, 9am-3pm at Maymont Park, 1700 Hampton Street, Carriage House Lawn.
This year’s “eggs-travaganza” is bigger than ever, spreading out from the Carriage House Lawn to The Robins Nature Center and Maymont Farm! Bring a picnic blanket, pick up tempting treats from local food vendors and make a day of it, with 100 acres to “eggs-plore.” Enjoy games, fun activities and hands-on crafts, as well as live entertainment on 3 stages, including a Dance Zone with instruments to try out and a live DJ from Bach to Rock spinning fun tunes. Snap a photo with the Easter Bunny presented by Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, meet some baby farm animals, and plant a seed at the Planting Station. Win prize-filled eggs in a Golden Egg Hunt, solving riddles to find the locations of golden eggs hidden around the grounds. The Robins Nature Center will be open, too! Each $5 admission ticket purchased includes 3 activity tickets! Children under 2 get in free. Each admission ticket purchased includes 3 activity tickets. Advance reservations are recommended.

Carter Mountain’s Easter Eggstravaganza

Two weekends: Saturday, March 23, and Saturday, March 30 at Carter Mountain, 1435 Carters Mountain Trail, Charlottesville.
Tickets are $10. Register online for the Easter Eggsplorer Pass activities from 10am-3pm. Face painting 10am-4pm. Posh Fairy Floss cotton candy 11am-3pm. Food trucks 11am-3pm. Live music 12–3pm.

Chiles Peach Orchard’s Hop Into Spring

Saturday, Mar. 30 11am-3pm at Chiles Peach Orchard, 1351 Greenwood Rd, Crozet, VA 22932.
Kids get a Hippity Hop Kid’s Pass for $12 that includes Easter Bunny Photo Ops, Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Egg Roll, Easter Potato Painting (a twist on egg painting!). This Chiles Peach Orchard event is geared towards children ages 2-10. No charge for parents and non-participating children.

Egg Dash, Presented By Hope Point Church

Mar 30th at 11:30am in the field next to Napa Kitchen at Westchester Commons.
The Easter Bunny is bringing it BIG with 5,000 eggs at Hope Point Church’s Egg Dash, Saturday, March 30th, in the field next to Napa Kitchen at Westchester Commons. All the fun starts at 11:30, and includes popcorn, bounce houses and more! Please register BOTH the number of adults and children who will attend. Hardywood Bunny Hop

March 30th at Noon at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
Bring the family for Photos with the Easter Bunny, Egg Hunt on the West Creek lawn (tickets required!), Activities like hopping around in a Bubble House, Food from the Hardywood Brat Haus, River City Wood Fired Pizza, and Cocky Rooster, and Music from Bobby Baine. All egg hunt ticket proceeds benefit the Autism Society of Central Virginia.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

March 30th 2pm-5pm at Armour House & Gardens
Games , food, prizes, raffles, reptile show and more! The hunt at 3pm will have over 1000 eggs up for grabs. Also there will be a winner of the big golden egg which will be raffled so don’t forget to get your raffle ticket (one per child).

More Easter Fun

Easter on Parade

1pm-5pm on Easter Sunday, March 31st on Monument Avenue between Allen and Davis Avenues.
Easter on Parade, is the beloved Richmond tradition that showcases attendees “parading” up and down scenic Monument Avenue. First held in 1973, Easter on Parade is a community event that celebrates spring with friends, families and pets gathering to walk the closed-off Monument Avenue while enjoying live music, arts and crafts, vendors and plenty of bonnets, pastels and bunny-inspired outfits. The People and Pet Bonnet Contest will take place at the stage located at Allen & Monument. The event is free and will be held rain or shine.
