Creepy Hollow Scream Park

Gates open at 7pm with a 7:30pm start.  Creepy Hollow Scream Park is Richmond’s Ultimate Halloween destination, with more monsters, more frights and more fun! Each night there are over live actors monsters, incredible animatronics, amazing illusions and acres of screams. Eerie Nights Ghost Tour

Open Fridays and Saturdays through November 4th, and Halloween night.  Eerie Nights is a theatrical story telling experience where guides in character, special effects make-up and costume tell you the history and paranormal activity associated with several historical and haunted locations in Richmond.   The tours are geared towards a mature audience but families are welcome, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Be prepared to walk for 90 minutes or consider Ghouls Ghost Tours and go by trolley. Fee.

 

Terror on The Farm

Haunting Tales and Tours

Edgewood, Berkeley & Shirley Plantations
October 7th, 9th, 14th, 21st, and 29th.    The unique tour of Edgewood, Berkeley & Shirley Plantations will give an insight on the spirits and mysteries of these three historic homes in Charles City, VA.  Hear the haunting tales of the paranormal activities at each site.  Reservations required.  The tour begins at 2:30 at Shirley Plantation, continues to Berkeley and ends at Edgewood.  Fee.

 

Berkeley’s Twilight Ghost Tour

Berkeley Plantation
October 27th at 6pm.  Hear the tales of Berkeley’s paranormal activities with a guided tour through the 1726 mansion, followed by a lantern-led walk through the gardens, grounds, and cemetery.  You will then finish your ghostly experience with Berkeley’s challenging corn maze, with only the light of your lantern.  Reservations required.  Fee.

 

Haunted Henricus: Things that Go Bump In the Night

October 17th and 28th @ 7pm.  Experience an evening of spellbinding accounts and legendary tales as storytellers relive old English and Virginia Indian legends and folklore. Join them by the fireside and listen to European stories early Colonists told as they recounted tales from their homeland. Capture the essence of what a Colonist felt between 1607-1622 in a strange new land surrounded by danger, darkness and uncertain peril. The harvest is in, the nights grow longer and danger lurks in the shadows.  This year there is an overnight Haunted evening being offered.  Light refreshments served.  Tours not appropriate for children under 6. Fancy Me Mad: Tales from Edgar Allen Poe + Graveyard Tour

Saturday, October 21st @ 5:30pm.   Tales from Edgar Allen Poe followed by a self-guided walking tour of the graveyard.  Among the spirits represented: Edgar’s mother Eliza Poe, George Wythe and his murderous nephew, and Elizabeth Van Lew – Union spy.  Fee.

 

Howl-o-Scream ®

Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA
Open select Thursdays and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 29th.  The scary stuff starts at 6pm and may not be suitable for young children.  Busch Gardens ® Howl-O-Scream ® offers horrors to frighten and delight guests. Brave explorers beware, there’s no telling what lurks in the park after dark. Dare to venture through immersive themed Terror-tories ™ and haunted houses. Spooky spirits, ghoulish shopping and spine-chilling shows, like Monster Stomp ™ on Ripper Row ®, make for a frightfully entertaining evening.  Fee.

 

Halloween Haunt

Venture through 8 mazes, 5 scare zones or sit in the fright zone.  The scary stuff starts at 7pm and may not be suitable for young children.  Open select nights through October 29th.  Fee.

 

Petersburg Haunts Tour

Petersburg Courthouse, 7 Courthouse Avenue, Petersburg, VA.  
Haunts are Fridays and Saturdays through October 28th.  Meet at the Courthouse 15 minutes before the tour starts at 7pm.  Find out why Petersburg is such a “spirited” city and visit some of the town’s most historic buildings. 90 minute tours are led by costumed, lantern-carrying storytellers. 804-943-8635.  Fee.
