Southside Speedway, the “Toughest Short Track in the South!” opens for the 2017 race season on Friday, April 7.  This is the fifty-eighth year that the historic Southside Speedway race track will open its gates to faithful fans and racers. The family-owned track in Chesterfield, Virginia prides itself on being a family-friendly venue.  The speedway features six divisions including Late Models, Modifieds, Grand Stocks, U-Cars, Legends and Bandoleros.

Southside Speedway will run twelve Friday race dates from April through August. Front gates open at 6:00 p.m. Qualifying starts at 6:00 p.m., and racing gets underway around 7:30 p.m.
