Venture Richmond hosts a special night of FREE hauntingly-narrated canal boat tours complete with candy for the little ones! Special 30 minute tours leave every half hour (on the hour and half hour) from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., with the last boat departing at 8:30 p.m. Boats depart from the Canal Turning Basin at 14th and Dock Streets.
The Eerie Canal Tours will feature haunting tales of Richmond’s past as passengers travel down the historic Kanawha Canal, drifting through the spooky sights and sounds of Richmond’s oldest and most historically haunted districts. Haunted Henricus: Things that Go Bump In the Night. 7pm-9pm. Henricus Historical Park. Experience an evening of spellbinding accounts and legendary tales as storytellers relive old English and Virginia Indian legends and folklore. Join them by the fireside and listen to European stories early Colonists told as they recounted tales from their homeland. Capture the essence of what a Colonist felt between 1607-1622 in a strange new land surrounded by danger, darkness and uncertain peril. The harvest is in, the nights grow longer and danger lurks in the shadows. This year there is an overnight Haunted evening being offered. Light refreshments served.
