Passages Adventure Camp

Passages fosters outdoor skills in a non-competitive and fun-loving atmosphere for children between 5 and 17. They offer Full and Half Day adventure programs for kids 5-16 and overnight programs for those 11 and up. Base Camp (ages 5-7) provides a great introduction to fun and adventure! G-Force Karts Camp

All Fired Up Art Camp is a summer camp offering specialized instruction and a wide variety of projects in several art medias. Each week has a unique theme to allow repeat campers to have a fun and rewarding experience with each visit. Regardless of the week’s theme, every camp session allows campers to explore the art of clay, ceramics, glass fusing, drawing, wheelthrowing, tie-dye, painting, and more!  The standard Half Day camps are Mon-Fri 9 am-1 pm for ages 6-14. $200 plus tax. All Campers are required to bring their own lunch and drink. They also offer All Day Camps by partnering with Young Rembrandts during selected weeks. 9 am-4 pm for ages 6-14.

The VMFA offers a variety of summer camp options for kids ages 3 to 18, broken into a variety of age ranges.  Most are five-day camps Mon – Fri, 9 am – noon or 1 – 4 pm.  Connect-a-Camp is a program for students enrolled in both morning and afternoon youth camps, this program provides supervised activities such as drawing in the galleries and playing games as well as supervision during lunch. Students are required to bring bagged lunches from home.

At the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, kids ages 5 to 14 make real art with the help of some of Richmond’s most prominent professional artists. Kids choose from more than 200 courses in a wide range of artistic media. Some favorites include wheel throwing, darkroom photography, stop motion animation and mural painting. One-week sessions run from June 18 to August 31. Morning classes are from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and afternoon classes are from 1–4 p.m. Parents who sign up for a week of both morning and afternoon classes can send their child with a lunch to eat at VisArts during a supervised lunch hour, free of charge. Parents can also purchase our extended day add-on for just $50 to pick up any time before 5:30 p.m.

The Department of Art Education at VCUarts is offering the Creative Arts Day Camp for children rising into grades K- 9. Each session runs Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm.  Classes are divided by age, and three to four classes are offered each session. Classes are held on the VCU campus and are taught by undergraduate and graduate art education students.  The camp will provide students with experience in a variety of media including sculpture, digital media, printmaking, painting, drawing, bookmaking, fibers, and more.

A two-week puppetry and circus arts camp for ages 9-15. This camp is a unique opportunity to explore the worlds of circus and puppetry together under the guidance of professionals who have decades of experience.
