Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village. Nightly 5:30pm – 10:00pm. The Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia. A dazzling 1.5 mile drive-through synchronized light show. Guests will turn their radio to a special frequency and watch as the lights dance along with the music. At the conclusion of the drive, guests can visit Santa’s Village, which will include opportunities for photos with Santa, children’s activities and holiday treats for purchase. Fruitcake Science. Science Museum of Virginia. During this quirky, annual holiday event, the Museum will conduct unconventional experiments on everyone’s least favorite holiday treat, the fruitcake. Guests are invited to share their hypothesis, observe the results and those who are brave enough can put their taste buds to the test by sampling fruitcakes in the Museum’s Boost! kitchen. Other special activities include a testing a fruitcake-themed Newton’s cradle and dropping a fruitcake from a 5-story stairwell. Fruitcake Science is included with exhibit admission. Tickets are $11 with $1 discounts for ages 4-12 and 60+.
