Eggstravaganza.  10am-11:30am.  Dorey Park, Henrico County.  Come out and celebrate spring while attending this fun-packed morning at DoreyPark. Meet the Bunny and enjoy a variety of activities includ­ing clowning fun, bunny hop music, story time, carnival games, a springtime treat, face painting, science fun, and more. Don’t forget to bring your baskets and join us for the egg hunt finale! Ages 1-5 with an adult. Information: 795-2334.  Free.

Saturday, April 12th

A Most Egg-cellent Egg-venture!  2pm-3:30pm.  The Armour House and Gardens, Henrico County.  Arts and crafts, face painting, and the great egg hunt for kids young and old, it’s sure to be a fun afternoon! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Information: 343-3506.  Free.

Spring Petting Farm.  11am-5pm.  Short Pump Mall Main Plaza.  Visit Baby Chicks, Bunnies, Goats, Lambs and more!  Free Admission.

Friday, April 18th – Sunday, April 20th

Easter Eggstravaganza.  Kings Dominon.  Highlights include an Easter EGGsploration scavenger hunt, petting zoo, Easter crafts, photo opportunities with Eggward  the Easter Bunny and more!  With park admission.

Saturday, April 19th

Dominion Family Easter at Maymont.  10am-3pm.  Maymont Carriage House Lawn.   Visit Maymont for one of Richmond’s favorite Easter traditions! Enjoy an egg hunt, crafts, games, live entertainment and other fun-filled activities.  Fees vary for activities.

Easter Egg Hunt at The Richmond Spiders Spring Game.  12:30pm Hunt, 1pm Game.  U of R, Milhiser Green.   A fun-filled day with a Family Fun Zone, chances to win prizes, post game autographs, and a egg hunt.  The Easter Egg hunt is open to children age 13 and under, prizes for collecting the most eggs, special prize for finding the golden egg and prize winners will be recognized on the field during the game.  To register for the Easter Egg hunt, please email your child’s first name, last name and age to SpidersKidsClub@richmond.edu.

TLCC Spring Community EGG-STRAVAGANZA.  Noon – 3pm.   Easter egg hunt for children ages 2-12, with face painting, games, and food.  The food consist of hot dogs with chips and a drink.  Cost: Children eat free, $2.00 donation for all others.  The TLCC Outreach Ministry will be providing free professional haircuts to the young boys that participate in the Egg-Stravaganza from 10:00 am – 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall.  Please contact Bro. The Egg Hunt. 2pm. St. John’s Church Churchyard, 2319 E. Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23223. All children are invited. They should bring their own basket to collect their eggs in.

Saturday, April 19th & Sunday, April 20th

Easter Weekend with Peter Rabbit.  Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.  Peter Rabbit greets visitors and poses for photographs (both days 1 – 4 p.m.). Concert by the Richmond Concert Band on the lawn at Bloemendaal House (Saturday, 2 – 3 p.m.); Easter Brunch in the Tea House by reservation (Sunday).   Activities in the Children’s Garden. Free with garden admission.

Sunday, April 20th

Easter on Parade.  1pm-5pm.  Monument Avenue between Allen Avenue and Davis Avenue.  Each year more than 25,000 people converge upon the four-block site to celebrate the arrival of spring and the beauty of Monument Avenue, taking this once-a-year opportunity to stroll in the streets. Music, arts, crafts, children’s activities, food, balloon artistry, a petting zoo and, of course, people and pet watching are all part of the celebration.  Free.
