School of Rock prides itself on being the premiere performance music education provider. Their patented teaching platform gets students engaged and loving music from the lesson room to the stage! Combining both the necessary time during individual instruction to practical application in group rehearsals as a band – students are more successful in sticking with the program while retaining the knowledge and skills they have learned. This year they are offering 6 different weeks of themed music camps. Students start at 9am and finish the day at 3pm. The week’s session will culminate with a live demonstration of what the students learned in a live demonstration on our in-house stage.

In 2026, the Steward Summer Experience is offering more than 150 full-day, half-day, and single-session summer camps (plus lunch, early drop-off, and extended-day care) for children in grades JK-12. Old favorites are back and new camps have arrived! Our selection includes academics, athletics, arts, innovation, and traditional camps. Shoot hoops with a state championship coach, whip up your favorite culinary creation in our professional teaching kitchen, or design jewelry with a professional artist! Whether morning or afternoon sessions only or full days in camp, each parent can plan an engaging and enriching schedule for their camper. Doodle Dynamo offers art camps that are unique and adventurous for every age category.  Some of the themes are Magical Wonderland, Nature Artist, Animal Explorer, Christmas in July, Jr. Fashion Designer and Mixed Media Fun. ArtVenture Summer Camp at The Visual Arts Center of Richmond

Close to 1,000 youth attend this ten-week-long summer camp program centered around art-making and community. With teaching artists leading youth in professional art-making environments, ArtVenture provides a truly creative summer experience. They offer each week for young people ages 5 – 14.  We also offer classes for teens ages 15 – 18. runs for 10 weeks during the summer. Each class runs from Monday through Friday. On–site classes are scheduled from 9am – 12pm or 1 – 4 pm. A supervised lunch hour is included if you’re signed up for on-site classes in both the morning and afternoon. Campers should bring their own lunches. In observance of Juneteenth and Independence Day, classes are 4 days a week and have a reduced price during those weeks.
