Exciting updates are on the way! Beginning next week, renovations will start at the Downtown location as part of the Dream Big Capital Campaign — a project designed to refresh favorite spaces and introduce new, enriching experiences for children ages 0–8 and their caregivers.
The good news? The Downtown museum will remain open throughout construction. While a few exhibits may be temporarily closed or moved, families can still plan visits filled with hands-on fun and learning. To help manage capacity during renovations, daily ticket reservations will be required at the Downtown location. Walk-up tickets may be available if space allows, but reserving in advance is strongly encouraged beginning February 16. Admission will also be temporarily reduced to just $9 per person during this time.

Members will continue to enjoy access to both locations, and membership extensions were processed in January. Be sure to review the Dream Big FAQ for instructions on reserving free member tickets. The Chesterfield location will remain fully open with regular walk-up entry and member check-in, and Sensory Friendly Nights will take place there on the third Friday of each month from 5–7 pm through June.
Field trips will continue in a limited capacity, with weekly updates shared on social media to help families plan ahead. For questions, families can reach out to info@cmorva.org, and members can contact membership@cmorva.org for assistance.
