Spring is in the air, and one of Richmond’s favorite family traditions is back! On Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., families are invited to celebrate Dominion Energy Family Easter with a full day of festive fun across Maymont’s beautiful 100-acre grounds.
🐰 Games, Crafts & Easter Fun
From the Carriage House Lawn to Maymont Farm, kids can enjoy inflatable sports games, a life-sized Candy Adventure course, hop-stacle challenges, festival-style games, crafts, temporary tattoos, and even Easter bonnet-making. Many activities include fun prizes, so be sure to bring an Easter basket to carry home all the goodies!
Little ones can snap photos with the Easter Bunny, meet baby farm animals, visit magical princesses, and say hello to Richmond favorites Nutzy and Nutasha. In the Community Zone, children can explore fire trucks and emergency vehicles while meeting local heroes like firefighters and EMTs.
🎶 Live Entertainment & Hands-On Play
Live entertainment will keep the excitement going all day on three stages, featuring Jonathan the Juggler, the SPARC Touring Ensemble, the Swingers Jump Rope Team, Richmond Urban Dance, and Maymont’s animal ambassadors.
At The Robins Nature Center, kids can jump into a Bubble Zone, create sidewalk chalk masterpieces, play hopscotch, spin hula hoops, and dance along to music from a live DJ. Over at the farm, tractors to climb on, games, food vendors, princess meet-and-greets, and adorable baby animals make it a must-visit stop.
🌸 Explore, Picnic & Celebrate
With gardens in bloom and spring in full swing, families can stroll scenic walking paths, spread out a picnic on the lawns, and take a self-guided tour through the historic Maymont Mansion.
💲 Admission Details
Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children (ages 1–16) and seniors (65+), and free for Maymont members and Museums for All participants. Each ticket includes three activity tickets, with additional tickets available for purchase. Proceeds help care for and preserve this beloved Richmond treasure.
