October 18 and 19
SpookyFUN Fest. 4:30-8pm. October 18th at Pole Green Park and October 19th at Poor Farm Park. Embark on a trick-or-treating journey through festive stations, explore interactive games and craft stations hosted by local organizations and businesses, collecting candy and goodies along the way. Keep an eye out for special appearances by beloved local mascots, college icons, and costumed characters, perfect for memorable photo ops! For kids ages 2-10. Event is free to attend for all.
Tuesday, October 22
Truck or Treat. 6-8:30pm. Chesterfield County Fairgrounds. A family-friendly event of trick-or-treating from trunk to trunk, while enjoying food vendors and music. Parking at local school parking lots. No glass, alcohol or pets. Gates open at 6pm. Rain date is Wednesday, Oct. 25. Free event, registration

Friday, October 25
Squirrel-O-Ween. 5:30 – 8:30pm. The Diamond. The annual FREE event provides a safe environment for children to trick-or-treat through the stadium. The event will also feature costume contests, hayrides, crafts, and more. The Flying Squirrels will be having a flash sale for fans to purchase individual tickets to Opening Night 2025 and the Independence Day Celebration on July 3, 2025 at the ticket booths located outside of The Diamond. The flash sale is in-person only for fans attending Squirrel-O-Ween. Squirrel-O-Ween 2024 is driven by AAA Mid-Atlantic and supported by the Drug Enforcement Agency. Free.
Trick or Treat at VMHC. 5pm – 7pm. Join the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) and more than 20 local non-profits for some historic Halloween fun at the second annual Trick or Treat at VMHC community event, presented by Mars Wrigley. Participating partners will set up spooky stations throughout the museum for kids to safely trick or treat for candy and other free giveaways. There will also be crafts, games, a Halloween band, bounce house, trackless train, chocolate making demos, and free museum admission, which includes access to Traveling Bricks, an exhibition made of LEGO® bricks. sCarytown in Carytown. Bring your family to Carytown to go trick or treating! Look for the treat pumpkin in the window of participating businesses and walk in to get your treats. Stay a little longer for the Richmond Zombie Walk–it’s a truly unique day in Carytown. More details to follow. Free
