Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights is a holiday tradition featuring more than a million lights, botanical decorations, model trains, holiday activities & more.  The event runs Nov. 23rd, 2018 – January 7, 2019 (Closed Dec. 24 & 25) from 5pm-10pm at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden on Lakeside Avenue.

Has your family ever visited, or has it been a few years?  It is a wonderful way to spend an evening together and do a little family bonding.  Did you know there are over 500,000 lights and 40+ miles of light strands in the show.  Now that is worth seeing!

This year’s theme is Bringing Art to Light where famous works of art will come alive. The exhibition will reinterpret well-known works of art in a spectrum of sparkling color, inviting guests to discover how sculpture, dance, music and paintings are informed by the natural world. Visitors will wander through a festive landscape alight in glimmering radiance and delight in handcrafted botanical decorations, all designed to illuminate nature and her power to inspire.

GardenFest for Fidos —  Thursday, December 6, 2018 and Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019
Regular Garden admission; $2 suggested “pet admission” benefiting the Richmond SPCA.  Leashed pets allowed on these nights only.

Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights is a “rain or shine” event; only closed for extreme weather. Tickets are not date specific and may be purchased at the Garden (9 a.m. – 10 p.m.) or you may purchase tickets online.  Please note tickets ordered online have a convenience fee.
$13 adults
$11 seniors (age 55+)
$8 children (ages 3 – 12)
$7: Garden members
$5: Child on Garden Membership (ages 3 – 18)
Free for children under age 3
