Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights is a holiday tradition featuring more than a half million lights, botanical decorations, trains, holiday activities & more.  The event runs Nov. 24, 2017 – January 8, 2018 (Closed Dec. 24 & 25) from 5pm-10pm at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens on Lakeside Avenue.

Has your family ever visited, or has it been a few years?  It is a wonderful way to spend an evening together and do a little family bonding.  Did you know there are over 500,000 lights and 40+ miles of light strands in the show.  Now that is worth seeing!

Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights offers fun for families with special weekday events throughout Gardenfest.

Sometimes the garden can get crowded.  Avoid the crowds on the weekends and visit the garden during the week.  These family friendly activities will add to the experience, and some offer an escape indoors, if the weather gets a little chilly.

Every Monday:
Storytime at the fireside with the Garden Keeper 5 – 8pm in the Library Reading Room and Santa “sightings” in the Conservatory on Mondays (through Dec. 19th).

Every Tuesday:
“Four in the Morning” strolls throughout the Garden with musical medleys.  6 – 7:30pm.
