The YWCA announced the opening of their new preschool program, The Sprout School, which will open a satellite location at the Children’s Museum of Richmond’s Central location. Construction of two new classrooms at the museum is set to begin in June with classes starting in the fall.

The Sprout School will offer  high quality, affordable preschool and kindergarten readiness programs targeting low-income families and will model the nationally recognized Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum that encourages discovery, creativity and community. The approach is particularly effective for vulnerable and at-risk children, but also nationally recognized as a preschool program that is highly successful for kindergarten readiness.
