On Friday, May 15 Southside Speedway will hold Scout Night. All Girl and Boy Scouts and troop leaders that arrive in full official uniform will get in FREE! How many Central Virginia Scouts pack into the grandstands on Friday, May 15?
Gates open to the public at 6:00 p.m., Practice / Qualifying (Practifying) starts at 5:30 p.m., and racing gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
The fourth race of the season brings excitement in all divisions, especially as the Bandoleros make a return appearance. The Bandolero division is made up of both boys and girls, ranging in age from 8-14 years old. As usual, the remaining car divisions are Late Models, Modifieds, Grand Stocks, Street Stocks, U-Cars, and Legends. All have excellent competition this season and look to provide great family entertainment each race night.

Southside Speedway is a 1/3 mile, paved oval track located on Genito Road in Midlothian, Virginia. The speedway was established in 1959 by J.M. Wilkinson and is currently run by his daughter, Sue W. Clements. The speedway features seven divisions including Late Models, Modifieds, Grand Stocks, Street Stocks, U-Cars, Legends and Bandoleros. In 2015 the speedway hosts twelve nights of racing from April 3, 2015 through August 28, 2015.
