Chesterfield Berry Farm

The Chesterfield Berry Farm offers pick your own pumpkins in the fall.  This farm not longer charges a farm admission fee for pick your own pumpkins, now cutomers pay by the pound.  With over 20 activities ranging from Pirates Cove and the Scary Fun Barn to the Zombie Paintball Shoot and Wagon Train Ride, it’s fun for the whole family!  Several activities are free, but a few have an add’l charge.  For a complete look at the activities visit the website.  Concessions are also available for purchase.  Pumpkin picking opens Sept 20th at 10am.

Ashland Berry Farm

The Ashland Berry Farm has pumpkin picking in October with free hayrides to and from the field.  In addition they have haunted evenings for the older kids and adults.  All you can carry pumpkins for $20.   Pumpkin picking opens Sept 27th at 10am.  Haunted evenings begin October 3rd.

Enjoy a hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick you own pumpkin.  There is a market with fruits and veggies, pie pumpkins, gourds and other fun treats. There are also some some kiddie activities and animals to enjoy.

The Pumpkin Patch

Bring your family to The Pumpkin Patch to pick your own special pumpkin.  The Pumpkin Patch offers hay wagon rides through the pumpkin fields and a kids spooky hayride & pony rides.  Decorative fall items are also available including mums, corn stalks, straw bales, gourds, and Indian corn.   The Pumpkin Patch opens September 27th.  The Fall Festival with music acts is October 4th.

Lloyd Family Farms

Lloyd Family Farms is a new pumpkin patch  in the greater Richmond area.  Located just 15 miles west of Short Pump.  They offer  a corn maze, pick your own pumpkins from one of the largest patches around, hay rides around a real working Paso Fino horse farm, and pony rides.  The farm opens for pumpkin picking every Saturday and Sunday from 10AM until dusk starting Sept 20th. They will also be open October 13th when schools are closed.  Visit the website for activity fees.

Liberty Mills Farms

Liberty Mills Farm is a family owned and operated farm located outside Orange, VA about 50 minutes from Short Pump.  There is an 8 acre pick your own pumpkin patch.  But Liberty Mills true claim to fame is it’s corn maze.   Tickets are requiredbut children ages 4 and under are free. Your maze ticket allows you to complete one or all four maze trails, the hay wagon ride and activity area.  Plan on spending a 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how many mazes you hope to complete. Berkeley Plantation Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch.  Explore the colorful autumn gardens, river shore, exhibits and tours, pick a pumpkin and find your way through the corn maze, all while learning Berkeley’s amazing history. The corn Maze is included in Berkeley’s tour admission, an additional fee is charged to take home a pumpkin. Chiles Peach Orchard. Crozet, VA. Chiles is know mostly for peaches, but did you know they have a pumpkin patch (pick your own!), and some apple picking too? They are open 7 days a week, and yes, there are Apple Cider Donuts.
