Summer of Music

Melody Magic Music Studio is bringing you a Summer of Music! They offer musical adventures for infants, toddlers, preschoolers… the whole family! Their fun-filled classes feature singing, dancing and moving, instruments, storytime, crafts, and so much more. The best part? Kids are learning and growing with each beat of a drum (literally!). The Kindermusik curriculum, taught by trained educators, is completely educational. But don’t tell the kids! They just think it’s good old-fashioned FUN!

Peek-a-boo, I Love You!

Ages 0-18 months, with a parent
June 16 through Aug. 8
More than just a curious story, Mother Goose games like peekaboo help babies understand language. In this special summer class, uncover more ways to say “I love you” using American Sign Language, soap bubbles, and parent-baby dances. Each family will receive a full set of home materials, including a CD and instrument.

Zoo Train!

Ages 1.5-4, with a parent, or
Ages 0-7 years (family class), with a parent
June 16 through Aug. 8
Tag along this summer with a traveling zoo train, and explore the zoo through music! Bring your own stuffed animals for the petting zoo. Wear long white socks on your hands for polar bear paws and learn about real animals in the zoo. This class builds upon a child’s emerging independence. Directions are given to the children, and parents are there as a “partner” to have fun with! The family class is great for siblings as well as friends who want to take a class together. Each family will receive a full set of take-home materials, including the book, instrument, and CD.

Giggles!

Ages 3-6 years, drop-off
June 2-6, daily
You’ll hear about the laughs, silliness, and knock-knock jokes with this camp’s learning theme—giggles. In class we’ll use word plays, word puns, and all-around word silliness to boost vocabulary, develop conversational skills, and nurture happy learners. We will do some silly-themed crafts, lots of fun movement, and of course sing and play instruments. Don’t miss this silly week!

Join the Parade!

Ages 3-6 years, drop-off
August 11-15, daily
You can watch this camp’s theme in your own home town with the season’s holiday parades. In class, we’ll listen to marching music, play pretend parades, and help your preschooler develop rhythm and coordination skills. Marching to the beat of his own drum—in class and at home—helps your preschooler make a vital rhythm and body connection, one that’s necessary to help him master any number of movement activities such as writing, dribbling and shooting a basketball, dancing, and skipping.
