Alice in Wonderland.  Tomahawk Creek Middle School Theatre.  Join Alice’s madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game.  Visit the website for show times and fees.

Be the Dinosaur.   A new exhibit at the Science Museum of Virginia.  Check out an animatronic dinosaur and a pterosaur reconstruction as you discover what life was like for dinosaurs. Included with exhibit admission, free for members.

Richmond Ballet’s Cinderella.  Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage.  This classic fairy tale comes to life in a glorious presentation choreographed by Malcolm Burn for Richmond Ballet. This magical production of Cinderella was inspired by the Brothers Grimm and Perrault fairy tales, and features the dramatic music of Prokofiev, performed by Richmond Symphony.  Visit the website for show times and fees.

We LOVE Kindermusik!  Noon-4pm.  Melody Magic Music Studio, 3041 Lauderdale Drive.  Bring the special Valentine in your life to “We LOVE Kindermusik” at Melody Magic Music Studio! Open play with instruments, crafts, storytimes, raffle prizes, and more! Drop in anytime between 12 and 4pm. Romp n’ Roll Valentine’s Kid’s Night Out.  6pm-9pm.  All Richmond Romp n’ Roll Locations.  Enjoy Valentine’s with your sweetheart while the children run and play. Kids will get their wiggles out in the moonbounce, play in the gym, create an art project and end the night with an awesome bubble dance party! The evening also includes a pizza dinner! Children must be ages 2 to 5, potty training not required. No need to be a member; register by calling (804) 364-6363. Cost: $20 for one child, $35 for two children, $40 for three children. Mad Science Valentines Party.  6pm-10pm.  Want to get out for Valentines without bringing the kids too?  Enjoy a nice night out while Mad Science entertains your kids.  But beware, they may be having so much fun they don’t want to go back!  The night will include pizza, a fun science show, pink glowing slime making, fun games and activities, and a fun movie!  Cost $30 per child ($25 siblings).  Grades K-5.

Saturday, February 15th

Henricus Family Fun Day.  10am-3pm.  Henricus Park.  Bring the whole clan out for a day featuring 17th-century life including art projects, Colonial games and role-play activities. Crafts include making paper and Virginia Indian pottery. Activities are ongoing and self-paced. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required by February 15 by calling 804-318-8797. Cost: $9 for each child; $11 for each adult/Henricus Patrons $2.50 for each child; accompanying adult free.

Richmond Boy’s Choir.  Performance at 11am at CMoR Central & Performance at 1pm CMoR Chesterfield.  Part of CMoR’s showcase of both traditional and modern African American music and dance through special performances and activities for Black History Month.  Free with museum admission.

Upstairs/Downstairs.  12:30pm.  MaymontMansion.  Maymont Honors Black History Month.  ExperienceMaymontMansion from the perspective of those who knew it as a workplace. Nearly everyone employed by the Dooleys as butlers, maids, cooks and laundresses from 1893-1925 were African American.  Fee.
