- And of course, the head-shaving to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation which funds childhood cancer research.
Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has raised more than $100 million in research grants to help find cures for childhood cancer and lessen the side effects of cancer treatment. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation raises money through relying on volunteer-event coordinators to host events in which participants sign up to shave their heads.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
