Falling Creek Ironworks Annual Event. Noon-4pm. Falling CreekIronworksPark, 6908 Jeff Davis Highway. Join us for an exciting exploration of America’s first iron furnace, the 1619-22 ironworks on Falling Creek. Tour guides will lead you through the archaeological ruins of both the 1619 ironworks and Archibald Cary’s Colonial grist mill. Activities include guided tours, exhibits, costumed interpretation, living history, period demonstrations, Native American dancing and children’s activities. Free.

Dance films with Richmond Ballet. 2pm. Criterion Cinemas at Movieland, 1331 North Boulevard at Leigh Street. Richmond Ballet will host an afternoon of 4 dance-themed films, selected by our company dancers and then voted on by our facebook fans. Tickets are $15, including a small popcorn and soda. Criterion will donate a portion of every ticket sold to Richmond Ballet. Screenings will continue through Thursday, March 21st.
Paws in the Park. 3pm-5pm. Dorey’s DogPark. Activities include Agility Trainer Demo, pet education, St. Patrick’s Day parade, and a bonnet contest for the dogs. Children will enjoy face painting, making homemade toys for children, and visiting with Henrico Division of Fire. For all ages. Free.
Family Yoga Classes. 4pm. A family yoga class for parent and child to have some fun bonding through yoga. Come out to the first class and see if you like it. If you do, sign up then and get a discount for the entire session. First class for one parent and one child is $15. Each additional parent or sibling is only $5 more! This will be a six week session with continuing classes resuming on Sunday Feb. 17- Mar. 17. All classes will be at 4:00pm.
