Malls and Easter Bunnies

 

Short Pump Town Center. Children (and adults) can get their pictures taken with the bunny in the food court through March 30. The Easter Bunny is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The bunny takes carrot breaks each day as needed. Children can sit with the Easter Bunny and pose for a photo for free. Photos also available for purchase.

Regency Square Mall welcomes the Easter Bunny for photo opps.  Easter Bunny Hours: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Carrot breaks: 12:30 – 1 p.m., 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., 7 – 7:30 p.m.Sunday, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Carrot break: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

2013 Eggstravaganza at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts – March 16, 2013

(Adults only) The Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction will begin at 6pm in the Evans Court. Then proceed to the Museum’s most distinctive space, Marble Hall, for an elegant seated dinner and the Live Auction. Enjoy the stunning architecture and private access to some of the Museum’s most impressive galleries, all while putting hope within reach for children and adults with disabilities. Tickets are $175 per person, and include a cocktail reception, seated dinner and the opportunity to participate in both the live and silent auctions. This year’s auction packages will include exotic vacations, stunning jewelry and more. Our famous “Egg Hunt” will also return this year!

Eggstravaganza at Dorey Park March 21, 2013

For ages 1-5 with an adult. Celebrate spring while attending this fun-packed morning at Dorey Park. Activities include a puppet show, carnival activities, a springtime treat, face painting, and more. City of Richmond’s Eggstravaganza – March 23, 2013

The City of Richmond’s Eggstravaganza will be held at Pine Camp Arts & Community Center this year. Over 25,000 candy-filled eggs and prizes will be up for grabs. Children should bring their own baskets. The first egg hunt will be held at noon for children age 10 and 11. At 12:30, a second egg hunt will be held for 7- to 9-year-olds, and at 1 p.m., another egg hunt will be held for 4- to 6-year olds. Prizes will include Martin’s gift cards, tickets to see the Richmond Raiders, and custom made hula hoops from RVA Hoop House. The event is free to attend and also will include music, games, several inflatables, a Bunny Town, a petting zoo, a planting station with biodegradable planters and various seeds, and hula hooping. Vendors will be on hand to sell food and drinks. Parking for this event is available at Henderson Middle School next to Pine Camp. No public parking will be allowed at Pine Camp. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A Most Egg-Cellent Egg-Venture – The Armour House & Gardens. March 23, 2013 2:00pm-3:30pm.

There’ll be arts and crafts, face painting, and the great egg hunt.

Easter Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo at Christ Church Episcopal – March 24, 2013 at 3:00pm

Easter egg hunt, petting zoo, crafts, games, food and more! Rain or shine.

Palm Sunday Parade – Sunday, March 24th (5k at 8am; Parade 10:30am-noon).

Palm Sunday Parade. 10:30am-12noon. Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road, Richmond, VA. The parade will begin on the church’s grounds, led by a live donkey as participants wave palms to celebrate Palm Sunday.

Easter Egg Hunt at Shirley Plantation – Sunday, March 24th Beginning at 1:00pm.

Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny. Starts at 1:00 p.m. Activities include egg hunt, games and lawn bowling. Separate hunts for 8 years and younger and 9 to 12 years old.  Many prizes for egg hunt. Second Annual Executive Mansion Easter Egg Hunt – March 27, 2013

Join Governor and Mrs. Robert F. McDonnell for the Second Annual Executive Mansion Easter Egg Hunt on Capitol Square. Family friendly and free to the public, this celebration will include live music, an egg hunt, prizes, games, appearances by mascots and historic figures, and much more. Mascots in attendance will include Nusty from the Flying Squirrels; Smokey the Bear from the Department of Forestry; Snapdragon from the Department of Motor Vehicles; and Risky from the Richmond Raiders as well as the Lady Raiders and Raider Players. Keep your eye out for Thomas Jefferson, the Virginia governor and United States President, as well as other historic leaders from the Old Dominion. Be ready to play some games and get your face painted by talented artists from the Steward School…. and bring your dancing shoes because live music will fill Capitol Square and the mascots love to boogie. Don’t forget to bring egg baskets, as there will be an egg hunt with over 10,000 eggs to find. 5 p.m. Free.

Easter Egg Huntin’ Richmond – March 30, 2013

Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1925 Grove Avenue, Richmond, VA.  From 5:00-7:00 we will come together at the home of Judy and Eric Fiske for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Cookout. We will join with the Tabernacle Childcare Center for this time of fun and fellowship. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served, and we are asking that all families bring a covered dish to share with everyone. Also, please bring a blanket to sit on in the yard. All are welcome, but we ask that all children have an adult with them at the event.

Easter In the Gardens at Lewis Ginter – March 30, 2013

The Richmond Concert band announces its annual Easter concert at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. The concert will be on the lawn at Bloemendaal house. Enjoy “A Million Blooms” at the garden, then take time to rest and enjoy a “March into Spring” concert by the band. Peter Rabbit greets visitors and poses for photographs (both days 1 – 4 p.m.). Easter Egg Hunt at G.W. RECenter– March 30, 2013

An Easter egg Hunt Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m.  The hunt will be on the field behind the RECenter.  There will be 2,000 candy-filled eggs hidden around the field.  The cost is $3 per child.  Age groups will be three years old and under, four to six years old, and seven years old and over.  No pre-registration is required.  Please bring a basket for collecting eggs. For questions, call 703-780-8894. Easter on Parade on Monument Avenue – March 31, 2013 at 11am

On Monument Avenue between Allen and Davis Avenues, enjoy this wonderful, annaul RVA tradition!  Join over 25,000 people celebrating Spring, strolling the streets, and watching paraders up and down Monument Ave. Music, arts, crafts, children’s activities, food, balloon artistry, a petting zoo and, of course, people and pet watching are all part of the celebration!

Easter Egg Hunt at Providence UMC – March 31, 2013 at 10am

All Providence UMC children, and the children of our community, are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, March 31, at 10:00 am. The gathering place will be the Social Hall.  This will be a great time of fun for our young children and an opportunity to reach out to our neighbors.  Invite a family in your neighborhood to join you at the Connections 9 am worship and stay for the egg hunt, or have them hunt eggs and stay for the 11 am worship service.
