Birth Matters Richmond
is a organization whose mission is to improve the culture of birth in
Richmond by promoting an evidence-based model of maternity care, and
supporting care providers who practice mother friendly care. There
goal is to help women and families make informed choices throughout

Birth Talk is an organization working to form an inclusive circle of trust and support for pregnant and postpartum women by:
Sharing stories, options for local providers, birth locations and birth educators.
Inspiring power and confidence throughout the experience of pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
Discovering how to become your own birth advocate.
Celebrating the life-changing experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
Birth Talk meets the first Monday of each month at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Road and the third Monday of each month at Lewis Ginter Community Building, 3421 Hawthorne Avenue. ICAN of Richmond is a mother-to-mother support group for cesarean prevention, recovery and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Free monthly meetings:
