Drop your preschooler off to enjoy 3 hours of socialization, gym time, group play, and imaginative thinking! Each day campers will explore the gym through independent and group play, learn artistic concepts while working on fine motor skills, and get groovin’ with music and activities! Our play space is transformed each week based on an imaginative theme to encourage curiosity and broaden learning. For kids ages 2 through 5 years old, no potty training is required, and a nut-free snack and drink are provided each day. Summer Camp Adventures at the Science Museum of Virginia

Hands-on STEM activities that will spark curiosity and inspire campers to generate ideas in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  The week-long camp experiences are for rising 1-3 and 4-6 graders and include opportunities to explore the Museum, visit our Dome Theater and participate in a variety of Live Science Programs.  Camps will be held from 9 am- 3pm, Monday through Friday. Camp fees cover a daily snack, t-shirt, water bottle and all camp activities. Campers will need to bring their own lunch to help energize them for our scientific adventures.  Visit the website for themes. July 8th – August 16th. Summer camp is $250 for members and $300 for non-members.  Ask about discounts for state employees. After- Camp child care is available for campers to help make these extraordinary experiences possible for all schedules. Summer Architecture Camp

Architecture Camp is a half-day, 5 day experience that immerses campers in the world of architecture and design.  The Branch house is their workshop, as they learn to appreciate the built environment that surrounds them, and most importantly, how they can improve it in a positive way!  Campers are challenged to think critically about architecture, and empowered to believe that design can improve quality of life, and impact their community.  Campers participate in projects that involve 2-D and 3-D design challenges and learn about professional careers in design. Architecture Camp is a program for rising 6th through 8th grade students using the Branch House as a learning tool and art object.  Camp curriculum explores all steps of the building and design process using Virginia Standards of Learning and STEAM principals that drive education today.  Campers work with different materials and learn about building techniques, methods of construction, observation techniques and figurative sketching while using the Branch House as a workshop.  Camp Weeks – June 17-21, June 24-28, July 8-12, July 22-26 and August 5-9

Camp Innovation is a STEM camp for rising 4th – 9th grade students. Each week-long session has both 1/2 day and full day courses in science, biology, computer technology, engineering, and more.  Each course offers students an opportunity to dive deep into STEM subjects through engaging experiments, challenges, and field trips. Coaches will cover proper form and technique of the forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Students will learn to play points competitively as well as keep score. Teambuilding games will work on agility, balance and coordination leading up to some net play! FBC will have portable mini nets, smaller racquets and softer balls on hand to teach your child.
