CodeVA’s Eureka Workshop offers computer science camps that are taught through the lens of art education. From Animation to E Textiles we have classes that any kid will enjoy. Camps are held all summer long for rising 1st grade to rising 8th grade students. This is a day camp with morning and afternoon classes. You can sign up for one session, either morning or afternoon, or both and stay all day. Most sessions are one week long. There is one two-week session in August.

Richmond Young Writers
Summer with RYW is a mind-bending, paradigm-shifting, kindred spirit-finding blast. Young writers come from all over the state (and sometimes beyond) to work on fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, screenplays, hybrid work and more – and the slew of guest authors and artists is pretty unbeatable. Camps run from Monday to Friday, 3 hours a day.  There are morning sessions (10am-1pm) and afternoon sessions (2-5pm) .  Guest authors visit to teach a 2.5-hour workshop on Wednesdays of each session.  The cost is $160; half/full scholarships are available.  Cancellation requests must be submitted two weeks prior to the start date of class in order to receive a refund or a credit.

Mon – Fri, 9 am – noon or 1 – 4 pm.  Connect-a-Camp is a program for students enrolled in both morning and afternoon youth camps, this program provides supervised activities such as drawing in the galleries and playing games as well as supervision during lunch.
