The Stitching Studio will be holding a "Learn to Needlepoint" Summer Camp for those
little stitchers in your lives, 8 years and up. For just $60, they will provide your camper with a canvas design on 13 mesh; the threads, threaders, and needles to complete their project; and 6 hours of instruction covering the basics (starting and stopping your threads, basketweave and continental). Camps will be 9:30-11:30 each day for the following sessions:

Start your summer off with a hop, skip and a jig at Heart of Ireland's Summer Irish Dance Camp! The 4-day dance camps will give your dancer a taste of both group and solo Irish dancing. Camps meet Monday to Thursday for 2 hours each day - in one week, your dancer will receive the equivalent of 8 weeks of classes! Learn the basics of soft shoe dancing and show off your skills at the end-of-week mini Feis on Thursday. Choose from 2 different weeks - sessions for ages 6-11 and for ages 12 and up.

The SkateNation Plus Learn to Sk8 Camp is an introductory camp for beginner to
intermediate skaters ages 5-12. Students will learn the fundamentals of ice skating using a variety of instructional programs that encourage participation at the recreational level.

The Richmond Ice Zone offers a summer camp for beginning to intermediate level skaters. Skaters work on the basics of ice skating, such as falling and getting up, forward and backward skating, gliding and stopping skills. For ages 5-12.

HORSEBACK RIDING:
Fox Pointe Farm welcomes all levels of riders in our Camp Programs which promote
excellence in equestrian education, safety, and integrity. Students attending Fox
Pointe Farm's Camp Programs receive personalized instruction in small ability-based
groups, offering them the opportunity to work independently and at their own pace.
The programs teach classical hunter seat equitation combined with solid "grass
roots" instruction. Students receive quality instruction from trainer and owner
Colleen Seely who has 12 years of experience teaching and managing successful summer equestrian programs. Co-ed Day camp is for children ages 6-12. 9am-1pm Monday-Friday.

Base Camp one-week sessions, located at Peak Experiences Indoor Rock Climbing Center, provide a great opportunity to experience fun and adventure. This summer, children ages 2 and up are invited to flip, fly, swing, roll, and laugh with CORE Kids Academy! Your child will have fun movin' and groovin' during fun gymnastics and movement activities. We will instill self-confidence in every child and work together with each camper to show them that their best is more than they ever imagined! No potty training required. Kids In the Kitchen will teach your child fabulous recipes every day. They will have such fun creating and learning. No need for snacks they will eat what they make. At the end of the week they will create a cookbook to take home with all the recipes they have created. Weekly themes are available online. Activities include cooking, crafts, games and field trips.

THEATER:

Stage Explorers is designed to take your child on a fun journey, both onstage and backstage, as he learns about the many roles it takes to put on a show in a professional theatre. All classes are taught by theatre professionals. Campers will be divided according to grade level, and will explore acting, singing, design and a multitude of other fun theatre related activities! No audition is necessary for this fun-filled camp. Rising 1st grade- 6th grade. 15 students per class.
Summer camps and workshops are a perfect time to explore the performing arts and build skills for the stage and for life! Half Day and Full day options available based on age. Pre-K to rising 12th grade.
Week-long musical theater summer day camps are offered in the Richmond area. U-Turn Sports Performance Academy, Richmond’s premier organization for providing superior athletic training and sound biblical guidance to young people announces their 2011 Summer Camp line-up. Whether your sport is soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, tennis or just recreational play, U-Turn has something for everyone at their summer sports camps. Youth ages 6-18 can receive superior athletic training by an elite coaching staff in a state of the art 150,000 square foot indoor training facility. Camps are offered in full day and half day sessions beginning June 20th –August 26th depending on the sport and the age of the child.
