Dominion GardenFest of Lights

GardenFest is open from November 22, 2021 – January 9, 2022. Closed Thanksgiving, Dec. 24 & 25. Open nightly 4 – 10 p.m. Tickets are available online ONLY, they must be purchased in advance (no walk-ins), and they have an arrival time. A favorite tradition featuring lights, decorations, model trains, dinners, hot chocolate (for purchase) & more!

Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village

Virginia’s Largest Drive-Thru Synchronized Christmas Light & Music Show! Open rain or shine and on ALL holidays.​ Open nightly at 5:30pm. $30 per family vehicle.

Richmond Boat Parade of Lights

Each year, boaters decorate their boats and converge on the James River for a parade that marks the beginning of the holiday season. Boats full of lights will travel along downtown’s riverfront, with the best views from Libby Hill Park in Church Hill and at Rocketts Landing. Grab the family and gather at one of the several viewing sites to see the boats and enjoy holiday entertainment. The event starts at 5:30pm. Free event.

Winterfest at Kings Dominion

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Kings Dominion’s ultimate holiday event, WinterFest! The park will transform into a winter wonderland with millions of shimmering lights, breathtaking décor, and lavish displays. The Eiffel Tower will become a 300-foot-tall Christmas tree and the iconic fountain on International Street will transform into the most beautiful and largest ice-skating rink around.

WinterFest will be the perfect place to create lasting memories with your family with so many exclusive holiday attractions. Sit back and enjoy one of our live shows while indulging in delicious holiday treats and drinks. All New in 2021! Guests will be treated to a grandiose showcase of dazzling displays and extravagantly decorated floats with the WinterFest Wonderland Parade filled with classic holiday themes such as toy boxes, gingerbread houses, choo-choo trains, and more. Your favorite WinterFest merriment characters, singers, and dancers will take part in this magical parade and maybe, just maybe Santa Claus will join, too!
