The Steward Summer Experience is proud to offer an array of camps that stir the mind, fuel the imagination, and unleash the possibilities for your child. With 89 camps available for students entering grades JK-12, there’s truly something for everyone. 

Make 2021 the year of something old and something new! Longtime favorite camps with Steward instructors, such as All Sports, Architecture, and Glass and Pottery, are back, plus culinary, robotics and coding, Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO camps, and more with outside instructors. Afternoon Adventures is our answer to “I’m bored” during summer afternoons: offered for 10 weeks of the summer, this camp takes kids to all of Richmond’s fun spots for a few hours each day. It can be added on to any morning camp or done separately.

If your child needs an academic boost to prepare for the next school year, we specialize in educational camps for all ages, including math sessions for grades JK-12 and English/reading/writing camps for our youngest campers (grades JK-2) and middle and high school students. Our innovation and science camps will get kids thinking outside the box, and the SAT Strategies Program will help older students focus on test preparation.  

Knowing that the status of gathering in groups is still unknown for the summer, Steward offers a “peace-of-mind” COVID policy, so you can make your camp plans now and evaluate them as the summer gets closer. 

By registering early, families can determine plans that work best for their schedules. Looking for a full day of camp? Morning camp + afternoon camp = 9 a.m.-4 p.m., or simply choose individual camps during the registration process. For those in need of early morning coverage or extended day, we will feature an early drop-off option beginning at 7:45 a.m. or extended day until 6 p.m. 

Traditionally, half of our campers are not from The Steward School, and we welcome students from throughout the greater Richmond area. We are thrilled to offer a robust summer program and know that 2021 will be an exciting year for campers of all ages!
