Summer Reading Programs

There are so many different reading programs for kids this summer!  Listed below are details on those around town.

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

Kids in grades 1-6 can Earn a FREE Book!
Here Is How:
1.  Fill out the the Summer Reading Journal (PDF).
2.  Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store between May 15th and September 3rd, 2018.
Find a Store.
3.  Choose a FREE BOOK from the book list featured on the back of the journal… Enjoy reading!

Get Ready for Summer Reading!

Henrico County Summer Reading Club

Sign up will begin on June 1 at www.henricolibrary.org/src. Sign up online or in the library. Once you have signed up, pick up your reading log and limited edition kazoo from your librarian.  This year, it’s easier to win prizes than ever before, and the more you read, the better your chances are for winning a grand prize.  If you sign up before June 30th, you will automatically be entered to win a Family 4-Pack of tickets to the Richmond Flying Squirrels (all ages eligible).

Chesterfield County Summer Reading Program

Participate in 1 of 2 ways.  Set a learning goal for the summer. Meet that goal and get your prize!  OR Every time you visit the library, tell them what you are learning, reading and experiencing. You’ll be given a Gear Pass and entered into the weekly prize drawing.

Pamunkey Regional Library Summer Reading Program

Families are invited to take part in our 2018 Summer Reading Program, “Reading Takes You Everywhere!”  Reach your reading goal and receive a prize!  Many fun, free programs for families will be taking place at the library this summer, including Jesse Joyner, Juggler (June 19-22), Farmer Minor, Daisy the Pig, and the Pugs (June 25-28), Zoo Pro Adventures (July 10, 12, 17, and 19), Rainbow Puppets “Creatures Great and Small” (July 23-26), and Virginia Living Museum (July 30 – Aug. 2).
