The Providence Foundation Partners with VSU Dance to Offer Free Youth Dance Summit

Kids Can Beat the Summer Heat By Moving Their Little Dancing Feet

The Providence Foundation, in partnership with the Virginia State University School of Dance, presents “Breaking Out: Dance Summit”. This exciting event will take place at the Virginia State University Gymnasium, 1 Hayden Street, Petersburg, VA from Thursday, July 13th-Saturday, July 15th, with a special showcase to climax the event on Saturday.

Summit attendees will get to experience several styles of dance: Modern/Contemporary, African, Liturgical/Mime, and Hip Hop and will get to hear from two of RVA’s finest dance innovators – Chalsea Freeman and Maso Cotton.
