FREE GARDEN ADMISSION MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5: GENWORTH FREE COMMUNITY DAY

  • Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and Genworth are pleased to announce Genworth Free Community Day at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden on Labor Day, Monday, September 5. All visitors to the Garden receive free admission throughout the day (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
  • The free admission includes music in the afternoon from 1 – 4 p.m. under the tent in front of Bloemendaal House. The Heavy Hitter DJ Lonnie B hosted by Kelli Lemon will mix contemporary hip hop and R&B.
  • Fox rabbit credit Sean KenneyThe free admission also includes the Garden’s exhibits. This is one of the last chances to see the award-winning Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks exhibit which ends September 18. There’s also the popular Butterflies LIVE! exhibit and, for players of Pokémon Go, the Garden will be purchasing lures to increase the number of Pokémon at the Garden on Labor Day.
  • OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Garden is also partnering with the Lakeside Business Association as a collection site on this day for donations of school supplies benefitting Lakeside Elementary School.
