Free Vision Screenings for Children

FREE-Vision-ScreeningThe Council for Pediatric Vision recently designated VisioCheck, the vision screening program offering by Conexus, a non-profit organization that helps detect and treat vision problems in Virginia’s children, as the gold standard for vision screening for children ages three to five years old. To celebrate, Conexus is offering two free vision screening open houses for all children ages four and older.

Free Vision Screenings for Children Age 4 and Over, Open to the Public

Friday, May 27, 11 am to 3 pm, St. James Children’s Center, 1205 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220 (near VCU). Please enter doors behind the playground. * media photo opp at 10 am, screening 40 children

Thursday, June 2, 10 am to 3 pm, Conexus headquarters at 11618 Busy Street, Richmond, VA 23236 (near Chesterfield Town Center)

The vision screening takes just a few minutes and the child’s parent or guardian is provided with the results, either pass or refer, in a visual and informative report.
