Down on the Farm Day

A day packed with animal fun is in store for Down on the Farm Day, which is presented by SUDIA and the Virginia State Dairyman’s Association. A mother cow and her calf will visit CMoR’s Central location, in addition to a fun-filled milking contest, which takes place at 11:30AM and features very special guest appearances by Miss Virginia and the Virginia Dairy Princesses. There will also be farm-themed arts & crafts projects throughout the day. for more information.

Special Night for Special Needs is an evening designed especially for the families of children with special needs age 10 and under. Visitors enjoy all the museum has to offer, in addition to the added benefit of adapted materials, special activities, a cool-down space, and a reduced number of visitors. These evenings are free and take place from 5:30PM-7:30PM.

On the 15th day of each month, children are invited to come learn and play at all four of our locations (Central, Short Pump, Chesterfield, and Fredericksburg) for only 15¢.
