diggityFEST is Central Virginia’s first and ONLY all kids music festival. The festival will include a performance by the Diggity Dudes and other national family music favorites. diggityFEST was voted by Style Weekly readers as Richmond’s “Favorite Family Festival”.
Don’t know who the Diggity Dudes are? The Diggity Dudes play hip music for hip kids and their equally hip parents. They cover everything from pet rocks to disco moves to science experiments to presidential physical fitness, all delivered through danceable grooves. Based right here in Richmond, the Dudes have toured the country and play 100+ shows nationwide.
diggityFEST is being held September 21st at Westchester Commons in Midlothian from Noon-5pm. Bring your blankets and chairs and spend the day. Did we mention the Admission is Free?
This year’s line up includes GRAMMY nominated, Justin Roberts & The Not Ready for Naptime Players, Steven Courtney & The Suitcase Musicians, Hope Harris, Joanie Leeds & The Nightlights and of course, The Diggity Dudes.
In addition to the music, you will enjoy hands-on activities, a Kid’s Zone, roving entertainment, an information fair and plenty of food and drink from area restaurants. You’re welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. The event is free with a suggested donation of $5 for a bracelet for your child to participate in the Kid’s Zone: an area filled with unlimited games, activities and jumping! The event happens rain or shine.
All donations and proceeds benefit Connor’s Heroes and programs providing support to area children with cancer.
