Bring your mittens to the Children’s Museum of Richmond- Central location on Saturday, January 18th, from 10 am to 4 pm for CMoR’s popular Snow Days Festival.

Snow Days Festival activities include special games and performances, plus snow cone making and a visit by the Virginia Repertory Theater’s lovable Snow Bear. The Richmond Symphony Instrument Petting Zoo will be available from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

The highlight of the festival is the announcement of the CMoR’s Legendary Snow Queen scholarship winner. The new Snow Queen will be crowned at 12:00 pm and begin her duties immediately with a special story time reading and a meet and greet with CMoR visitors.

The Children’s Museum Of Richmond sponsors the Legendary Snow Queen, which represents the museum at numerous community special events. The Snow Queen is chosen as a High School Junior and must be willing to serve as a role model for young girls, exemplifying internal beauty and character. A $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to each year’s Snow Queen. The Snow Queen scholarship is one of the few scholarships awarded to area high school juniors.

Snow Days Festival activities are only available at CMoR Central, which is located at 2626 W. Broad Street. Snow Days events are free with museum admission.
