Let your kids beat the summer heat while getting creative in a cool, fun environment. All Fired Up Art Camp is an art-intensive summer camp offering specialized instruction and a wide variety of projects in several art media. Each week has a unique theme to allow repeat campers to have a fun and rewarding experience with each visit. Regardless of the week’s theme, every camp session allows campers to explore a variety of art media including Clay, Ceramics, Glass fusing, Drawing, Wheel-throwing, Tie-dye, Painting, and more! Sessions are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. for ages 6-14.
2013 Art Camp themes include:
Tea Party week (July 1-5), where campers will fall down the rabbit hole to prepare for the ULTIMATE Tea Party! By the end of the week, kids will be fit to meet with the Queen of England, using their very own tea set that they painted and created by hand!
The Enchanted Forest week of art camp (July 8-12) campers will create and paint some of their favorite woodland creatures, such as owls and squirrels, and if they’re lucky, may even catch a glimpse of the forest fantasy creatures!
During Wild, Wild West week (July 15-19), campers will go on an adventure to become the wildest cowboys and cowgirls in the west! Create western landscapes and Native American-inspired projects. (There is an all day camp option available with this week of camp through our partnership with Young Rembrandts, so please ask for more information!)
Winter Wonderland week (July 22-26) kids will beat the summer heat and join us as we create a wintery world with our imagination, filled with snowmen, penguins, hot cocoa mugs and even a holiday project or two!
There are many other wonderful weeks to choose from, including Princesses & Knights, Sweet Treats, Crazy Creatures, and much more!
Art Show: We’ll host an art show on the Monday following each camp session, from 6–7 p.m. We will display your child’s artwork and serve refreshments. Celebrate at our gallery gala and collect your projects to take home!
Camp Shirts: Campers will tie-dye a special Art Camp shirt! Wear the shirt after camp to receive a discount on pottery for the rest of the year!
Quality Instruction: The coordinator of our Art Camp is a licensed art teacher with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our program is not only fun, but educational!
